hi im in florida with my father and a hurricanes is coming were so scared what can we do shelter is one mile?
away and were in a 35 storied apartment building were on floor 30 elevators are not working how do we get down im really scared we dont now what to do with our pets i am packing food in my school back pack and some bateries a radio bandaids and some canned food and chips dog food leashes bags and bottles of water i packed some clothes now were going to turn on the readi grab a helmet and the dogs and were going to take the stairs and we hope we can get down please awnser as much as you can please please im probably going to dye inm to young to dyeim only 10 please
Even though there is no hurricane, here is what you should do if there ever is one:
FOOD:
some cans of food you can eat rae (about 5 cans)
some snack bars
some candy (comfort food)
3 gallons of water per person (or dog)
dog food
can opener
apples
SUPPLIES:
swiss army knife or pocket knife
bandaids, antiseptic, gauze, tape
batteries, cell phone (hopefully charged), radio
walkie talkies (in case you get separated)
$100 cash or as much as you can find
ID, atm card
laptop if possible
medication
wet wipes
CLOTHES
2 shirts per person
1 pants per person
2 underwear per person
1 socks per person
OTHER:
photos
precious items (only one or two)
If your dogs are small, grab another bag and put them in there (with leashes on them, tied to your wrist). If they are large, put them on a leash. As soon as you have everything, get in the car and drive to shelter!
